General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a DevSecOps Engineer.--This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems.--General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.In this role you will support, through innovation and transformative processes, greater integration, automation and efficiencies.Educational Requirements:Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.Clearance Requirements:Department of Defense secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Your daily responsibilities will include:* Work with the DevSecOps team to assure the quality of the application capabilities for a variety of legacy and modernized systems and applications. * Work in close collaboration with other software developers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile/DevSecOps processes to continue the automation of the software build and installation processes. --- * Work closely with members of the development, tests, and operations teams to troubleshoot build breaks, enforcement of software quality standards, and proper communication of the package's installation steps to operations for both non-production and production environments;* Continue development and maintenance of a DevSecOps platform to support a large portfolio of applications. * Manage infrastructure in a secure way which project teams will use to deploy their applications. Maintain Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Bamboo, Nexus, Authentication services, etc. * Build a DevSecOps pipeline platform that supports multiple participating subsystems* Work closely with each subsystem to develop new DevSecOps features and capabilities for application deployments, monitoring and operations. * Assist with creating project resource estimates, metrics to track completion phase, defect reports, defect prevention, development efficiency and quality. Qualifications: * Prior experience with continuous integration, test automation and/or DevSecOps on iterative software development projects using tools such as Bamboo, Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, Team City and/or Chef* AWS or other Cloud platform experience* Kubernetes, Docker and other containerization experience. * Script Languages, such as Ruby, PowerShell, Bash, Per, Python, etc.* Experience using GIT source code control. * Automated Deployment experience on Windows Server / Linux RHEL platforms* Familiarity with Linux or UNIX (administration, installing, patching). * Installation package development - RPM package managers are preferred. * Experience with agile project management tools * Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products* Must be a U.S. Citizen * College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree plus 5 years related experience.
