Additional details can be found on our website at: Position Title: Sr. AWS Cloud EngineerLocation: RemoteClearance: SecretOneZero Solutions is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to help design, deploy, and optimize secure AWS cloud solutions for mission-critical applications. This role will involve hands-on cloud engineering, automation, and security implementation, as well as providing architectural guidance for cloud deployments. The ideal candidate has strong AWS experience, infrastructure automation skills (IaC), and security expertise, with the ability to work closely with architects and security teams to ensure compliance with DoD and NIST standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCloud Engineering & Deployment

• Design, implement, and manage secure AWS cloud environments (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, VPC, IAM, etc.).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Deploy and maintain containerized applications using ECS, EKS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Optimize AWS resources for cost efficiency, scalability, and performance.Architecture & Security Planning
  • Assist in designing scalable, high-availability AWS solutions.
  • Develop and document cloud security architectures and compliance strategies.
  • Implement identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security controls.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, DoD IL4/IL5 security guidelines.Automation & DevOps
    • Automate deployment and configuration management with AWS Lambda.
    • Implement infrastructure monitoring and logging (CloudWatch, AWS Security Hub).Operations & Support
      • Troubleshoot cloud performance, security, and networking issues.
      • Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization and application performance.
      • Provide technical mentorship and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Required Qualifications
        • 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud engineering and operations.
        • 3+ years of experience with infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
        • Proven experience with containerization and orchestration.
        • Strong background in security and compliance frameworks.
        • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
        • Proficiency in AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, etc.).
        • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, routing, VPN, Direct Connect).
        • In-depth understanding of security best practices (IAM, security groups, encryption, key management, etc.).
        • Expertise in managing and deploying infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
        • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, AWS Security Hub, etc.
        • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a cross-functional environment.Preferred Qualifications
          • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional.
