an experienced Energy Practice Leader to spearhead our energy
initiatives and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and
sustainability professionals. This role is pivotal in shaping the
strategic vision, ensuring technical excellence, and driving
innovation across our energy practice. The focus is on delivering
impactful solutions in solar, wind, energy storage, emerging
technologies, and the broader energy sector. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not
limited to: Leadership & Strategy Define and communicate the
strategic direction of the Renewable Energy engineering practice.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers and technical
specialists. Represent the organization at industry forums,
conferences, and client engagements. Project Oversight Oversee the
design, development, and execution of renewable energy projects.
Ensure projects meet technical standards, regulatory requirements,
and budgetary goals. Collaborate with project managers to meet
milestones and delivery timelines. Business Development Identify
and evaluate new business opportunities in the renewable energy
sector. Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients,
partners, and stakeholders. Contribute to proposal development, RFP
responses, and client presentations. Innovation & Technical
Excellence Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends,
and regulatory changes. Promote the adoption of innovative
approaches in the design and implementation of renewable energy
systems. Establish and uphold best practices, standards, and
quality assurance protocols. Skills/Requirements of a successful
candidate include but are not limited to: Bachelor’s or Master’s
degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, or
equivalent experience. Professional registration (PE, LS, LA) in
one or more states where Timmons Group operates is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy engineering,
including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Demonstrated
success in managing complex renewable energy projects. Deep
understanding of solar PV, wind, battery storage, microgrids, and
grid integration. Strong leadership, communication, and client
engagement skills. Familiarity with permitting processes,
interconnection requirements, and utility coordination. Ability to
thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Additional
