Job Description:

CRI is actively seeking a Business Development/Capture Manager, for immediate hire, to join our Annandale, VA Office. The Business Development/Capture Manager is an ambitious and energetic key member of the CRI corporate team. This person will be supporting our subsidiary, Global Emergency Response (GER) and will work closely with the Business Unit Executive, Director of Contracts, Program Directors, and Program Managers to identify new opportunities, develop a realistic and valuable business development pipeline, and identify the resources needed to pursue new business opportunities focusing on a software solution suite of products. The Business Development/Capture Manager is the driving force behind generating new business. This person will build CRl's market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.Responsibilities & Duties:Lead the Business Development team through the entire lifecycle of each opportunity as a key point of contact, communicating key customer requirements and sensitivitiesProactively identify opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcementsLocate or propose potential business opportunities by contacting potential partnersScreen potential opportunities by analyzing market strategies, requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options and resolving internal prioritiesDevelop strategies and marketing plans to leverage partner and current customer contractsBecome a subject matter expert on business products, software solutions, processes, and operationsParticipate in educational opportunities, professional organizations, and coalitions, and maintain personal networks to identify new business development opportunities.Enhance GER's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to the companyConduct research to identify new markets and customer needsDevelop schedules for networking opportunities and industry eventsAssist with bid strategies, pricing, and proposal strategiesManage the transition from business opportunity to proposal development to award.Assist the Proposal Development and writing of new proposalsDevelop capture strategies and manage timelines to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly targetsRefine and progress the capture planMaintain Client Relationship Management software database and track marketing and sales team progress.Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operationsBrief department status to senior leadership on a weekly basis Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience5-7 years' experience as a Sales & Business Development Manager preferably in Health IT markets Experience supporting proposal preparation for re-competes, new program pursuits, and requests for informationCapture management experienceProven Sales track record Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Proven sales experience requiredSoftware sales experience is desiredExperience with formal program management and operations is desired Advanced organizational leadership skillsExcellent written, oral, and client-facing communication skillsProficiency with office computer equipment and softwareDemonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff teamProven ability to cope with conflict, stress, and crisis situationsExperience defining client requirements, themes, discriminators, themes, and gap analysisSuccessful win rate with a diverse State, Local or Federal client baseLeadership skills to develop, organize, and execute significant capture activities, and win business with new and existing customersProficient with using Microsoft Office applications; including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access Equal Opportunity Employer:Central Research is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
