two (2) positions to oversee high-impact projects in critical power
systems and electrification, ensuring the safety, reliability, and
modernization of our transit network.One position will focus on
planning, lifecycle project and contract management, including
planning, budgeting, scheduling, quality assurance, implementation,
close-out, and warranty, ensuring WMATA's Power State of Good
Repair program is delivered on time, within budget, and to the
highest safety and quality standards.The second position will lead
a team of construction inspection and power commissioning
professionals, overseeing inspection, testing, and commissioning
activities to support the delivery of the Power State of Good

QUALIFICATIONSEducation
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in
Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Construction Management, or
related field.Experience
- Minimum eight (8) years of project management experience,
including at least two (2) years managing professional staff, field
staff, contractors, or consultants.
- Management experience in planning, engineering, or transit
operations, with direct fiscal responsibility. Experience in major
infrastructure projects is advantageous.Certification/Licensure
- Preferred: PMP certification, continuous improvement training
such as Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, ISO standards.Medical

reasonable accommodations.SummaryThe Project Manager Infrastructure
leads project development and implementation of the Authority's
capital-funded programs, managing all project phases, from planning
to closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
Responsibilities include developing project scopes, negotiating
hours, preparing reports, maintaining schedules and budgets,
mentoring staff, and serving as the Contracting Officer's Technical
Representative (COTR).Essential Functions
- Review and comment on project scope to ensure program needs,
schedule, and costs are met; coordinate across departments; ensure
cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and recommend project schedules, estimates, and
budgets; ensure adherence; provide design input.
- Ensure safety at all project sites and activities.
- Monitor contractor work for compliance with plans and
specifications.
- Coordinate project activities to meet operational needs while
minimizing impacts.
- Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules; report on
progress and issues.
- Lead project status briefings for stakeholders, including WMATA
leadership and external agencies.
- Assist in obtaining permits and approvals, communicating
issues, and managing scope, schedule, and budget changes.
- Review engineering specifications, manage consultants, and
ensure contract compliance.
- Oversee cost allocation, invoice approval, and project closeout
activities.Other Functions
- Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, safety, and
professional development.
- Support procurement responsibilities as a COTR.
- Ensure safety culture on job sites.
- Develop employee performance plans, provide feedback, and
