• Other Details: The facility is seeking a board-certified Pediatric Intensivist with an active Virginia license for 24-hour PICU coverage (7 AM 7 AM), involving rounding and call. The PICU has 8 beds with an average daily census of 3.4 patients. Candidates must perform procedures such as intubation, line placement, lumbar punctures, and standard pediatric critical care tasks (no dialysis, cardiac surgery, or neurosurgery). Subspecialty backup includes pediatric ER, hospitalists, radiology, anesthesia, and multiple pediatric specialties by consult. The position requires weekend and on-call availability. The facility is short-staffed until August 2025, and emergency coverage support is needed.
