Description: General comments about unit information. Number of
beds: 24. Number of staff: 71. Type of staff includes day shift
labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs, secretaries, leadership,
and educators. Night shift labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs,
and secretaries are also included. Typical patient ratios are 1:1
for labor, 5-6:1 for post-partum, and 5-6:1 for nursery. Equipped
with GE fetal monitors. EMR system is Meditech, CPN. Typical
procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and
care for antepartum patients. Newborn and post-partum care is
required. Dress code consists of navy blue scrubs, with designated
badges for infant security. Weekends involve working every third
weekend, with 12 hours of call in a 4-week schedule. Requirements
