MedStar Health seeks a dedicated Acute Care Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to patients in an acute care setting. This role demands a compassionate professional focused on patient recovery and wellness, utilizing evidence-based therapies to facilitate patient mobility and functional independence. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and commit to the highest standards of patient care. Evaluate patient conditions based on physical assessments and medical history. Develop tailored treatment plans to meet individual patient needs, focusing on mobility improvement and pain reduction. Implement therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, and patient education. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and enhance patient care. Educate patients and families about treatment plans and preventative measures. Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with all legal and hospital requirements. Strong knowledge of physical therapy modalities and techniques appropriate for acute care settings. Excellent patient assessment skills. Ability to design effective treatment plans and execute them. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Physical Therapist license in the state of practice. BLS certification.
