Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization
in the DMV region, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated
Occupational Therapist to join our homecare team in Silver Spring
on a PRN basis. This role is critical in providing personalized,
in-home care, focusing on improving patient outcomes and enhancing
the quality of life for our clients. Our Occupational Therapists
are instrumental in helping patients gain or regain their ability
to perform daily activities with ease and confidence. Assess
patient condition and devise personalized treatment plans.
Implement therapeutic interventions to facilitate recovery and
improve skills necessary for daily activities. Educate patients and
families on interventions and strategies meant to enhance patient
independence. Document patient progress and adjust treatments as
necessary. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to
provide comprehensive care. Proficiency in patient assessment and
treatment planning. Ability to instruct and motivate patients.
Excellent communication and documentation skills. Skilled in using
therapeutic equipment and techniques. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid and current
Occupational Therapy license in the state of Maryland NBCOT
Certification CPR and BLS Certification
