Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fishersville, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Work every other weekend as required /n• Patient ratio of 6:1 during days, nights, and weekends /n• 40 hours of orientation required /n• 1 year of nursing experience required /n• Previous surgical experience required for this fast-paced inpatient surgical unit /n• BLS certification required /n• Previous charge experience preferred /n• Meditech charting system experience preferred /n• Community hospital experience preferred /n• Care for patients aged 12 and above including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics /n• Will accept pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above depending on surgical procedure /n• Cannot guarantee block scheduling but can try to group shifts together if available /n• Must be comfortable with telemetry monitoring, post-angiogram care, post-MI care, accessing/managing ports, peripheral nerve block catheters, high flow nasal cannula, oxygen administration, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, heparin and insulin administration, PCA pumps, chest tubes, wound care/wound vac, and continuous bladder irrigation /n• RTO policy applies: expect to work holidays based on assignment length /n• Zero tolerance policy for THC - medical marijuana cards not accepted /n• Fit testing required with facial hair restrictions /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a 24-bed medical surgical unit specializing in various surgical procedures including general surgery, abdominal surgery, urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine surgery, and bariatric surgery. The facility maintains a daily census of 18 patients and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
