Advance your radiology career with high-volume neuro-angiography and vascular cases. /n/nJob Details/n /n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2340 - $2510/n - Location: Richmond, VA 23226 — Richmond VA radiology jobs, Virginia travel jobs/n - Assignment Type: Travel Contract – 13 weeks/n - Start Date: March 30, 2026/n - End Date: June 27, 2026/n - Hours per Week: 36 hours/n - Shift: Days (12-hour shifts)/n - Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10-hour days with alternating day off/n - Call: Weekday call required rotating weekend call (Fri–Sun) with 30-minute response time/n - Patient Population: Pediatric through Geriatric/n - Case Volume: 10–15 interventional cases per day — ideal for experienced IR technologists/n - Equipment / Systems: Philips imaging systems, EPIC EMR, PACS/n - Local Candidates: Accepted/n /n/nQualifications & Certifications/n /n - Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology / Angio technologist experience required — experience in neuro-angiography preferred/n - Neuro-angiography experience required; must have experience beyond basic peripheral access, lines, or drains/n - Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients/n - Proficiency with EPIC EMR and PACS required/n - ARRT (R) certification required/n - BLS (AHA) required; ACLS (AHA) preferred/n - Preferred: Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institution/n - Occasional CT scrub required (no other areas)/n - Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced interventional radiology environment/n /n/nResponsibilities — Interventional Radiology Technologist / Angio Technologist/n /n - Assist licensed practitioners during fluoroscopic, interventional, neuro-interventional, and vascular procedures using strict sterile technique/n - Prepare, administer, and document medications, contrast, and radiation exposure according to hospital policy/n - Obtain and verify patient clinical history and labs; ensure complete pre-procedure documentation and informed consent verification/n - Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and caregivers; address questions, consent concerns, and comfort needs/n - Administer contrast via power injector as ordered; assess risk for contrast reactions and assist with initial response/n - Apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self; document radiation doses and adhere to ALARA practices/n - Select and operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography) to achieve optimal procedural imaging/n - Perform accurate pre-, intra-, and post-procedure documentation in EPIC and PACS; follow downtime procedures when required/n - Assist with CT, ultrasound, and diagnostic procedures as needed, including occasional CT scrub duties/n - Maintain inventory, manage procedural supplies, and communicate supply needs to the interventional team/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to promote safe, patient-centered care and positive procedural outcomes/n /n/n Why Richmond, VA?
