Type: General Public - G Job Duties Position is responsible for
payroll processing and reconciliation of earnings and fringe
benefits for all Department of Corrections' agencies ensuring all
11,000 employees are paid timely and accurately in compliance with
existing DOC, State and Federal guidelines and laws. Performs
processing and reconciliation duties associated with the
administration of the payroll and benefit accounting functions for
assigned agencies while maintaining a strong level of customer
service and professionalism in all interactions with DOC agencies,
outside support agencies, and coworkers. Minimum Qualifications
Recent, extensive payroll processing experience to include
processing large volumes of payroll transactions timely. Experience
analyzing payroll transactions for compliance with payroll
procedures and regulations, perform detailed work with numerical
data, and make mathematic calculations rapidly and accurately.
Experience applying and explaining established payroll policies,
procedures, and regulations. Additional Considerations Proficient
in Personal Computer (PC) applications including Microsoft (MS)
Excel and Word. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and
to adapt to changes in policies, procedures, and priorities.
