Human Resources Coordinator Reports To: HR Manager / Director of
Human Resources FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Location: Pediatric
Associates of Alexandria offices Position Summary The Human
Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational
support to the Human Resources department. This role assists with
recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, compliance,
benefits administration, employee engagement, and HR
communications. The HR Coordinator helps ensure efficient HR
operations while supporting a positive, organized, and compliant
workplace environment across all departments. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities HR Operations & Administrative Coordination -
Coordinate HR operational needs related to employee onboarding and
departmental support - Support new hires from acceptance of offer
through start date, ensuring all onboarding preparations are
completed - Manage HR supply and service orders - Support and
manage new hire setup for providers, nurses, billers, team leads,
supervisors, managers, and other staff - Assist with company-wide
events and employee engagement activities Employee Records
Management - Maintain and update employee records across all
departments - Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with
recordkeeping requirements - Organize and maintain HR documentation
and personnel files - Process employment status changes (hires,
transfers, promotions, terminations) - Maintain HRIS records and
ensure data accuracy Recruitment and Selection - Work with the
Hiring Managers to review and approve job descriptions - Post job
openings on recruitment platforms - Support Department Heads with
hiring needs - Assist with candidate screening and shortlisting -
Coordinate and schedule interviews - Identify and support new
recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates Benefits and
Compensation Support - Maintain working knowledge of all company
benefits to assist employees and managers - Respond to basic
benefits inquiries or direct staff appropriately - Assist with
year-end HR processes, including: - - Entering updated salary
information - Preparing benefits-related reports Employee
Engagement & Recognition - Support morale-building initiatives and
internal appreciation efforts - Assist with company events as
needed Compliance & Policy Support - Support compliance with
federal, state, and multi-state employment laws - Maintain
confidentiality of employee and organizational information - Assist
with policy administration and documentation tracking - Support
regulatory and internal audits General HR Support - Provide
administrative and operational support to the HR department -
Perform other duties as assigned Education and Experience -
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development,
Business, or related field preferred - High school diploma or GED
required - Candidates without a bachelor’s degree must have at
least two (2) years of professional experience in an administrative
HR role - Demonstrated knowledge of HR best practices and
multi-state employment laws and compliance requirements -
Experience working within a law firm or professional services
environment preferred - PHR or SHRM-CP certification strongly
preferred - Experience working with diverse populations Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities - Strong technical proficiency, including
Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Demonstrated
proficiency in HRIS systems - Excellent organizational, time
management, and planning skills - Strong communication and teamwork
skills - Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced
environment - Professional, detail-oriented, and self-directed work
style - Ability to prepare and maintain required documentation
accurately - Ability to comply with state and federal
confidentiality requirements - Ability to work effectively with
others and maintain professional relationships Compensation and
Benefits Package - Competitive salary range of $58,000 – $64,000 -
