Job Description:

Our team is part of the Security organization, responsible for developing products and platforms focused on security. Our product is Bot Manager. It is designed to provide cloud computing security, prevent data theft and mitigate large account takeover attempts. We build unique technology to handle petabytes of data and conduct billions of secure transactions daily. As part of the Bot Manager team, you will focus on building highly usable, reliable, scalable software solutions. We build the solutions for bot threat detection, protection and control feature. Allowing our customers to better manage bot traffic and help improve the internet for millions of people. As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for: • Working on projects that improve our bot detection products making Akamai a leader in bot detection. • Implementing new features from scratch. • Enhancing existing features and optimize existing functionality, from conception and design through testing and deployment. • Working with our level 3 support to troubleshooting complex problems or any customer issues. • Working on data analysis for web and mobile platforms. • Working on making improvements to client side components like JavaScript on need basis To be successful in this role you will: • Have of overall software development experience and relevant degree in Computer Science • Have experience working with Python for web development & web API development • Have a good understanding of data formats such as JSON, XML. • Work experience or understanding with Machine learning or Data science is an asset. • Be able to design with best possible architectures and write clean well-structured code FlexBase, Akamais Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
