organization was founded in April 2023, with the objective to
reduce operational load and toil through long-term engineering
projects. MO is building the best-in-class engineering and
operations team that will own the day-to-day operations for AWS
Regions; improving the availability, reliability, latency,
performance and efficiency to operate AWS regions. Amazon is
looking for a highly motivated Sr. Systems Development and
Operations Leader to drive the technical operational efficiency for
AWS. The role will be responsible to manage team’s that own
operational problems, excellence, and support goals for AWS
Regions. We are seeking a Senior Operations Manager with strong
technical skills, problem solving abilities, deep customer affinity
and communication skills, to lead our operations/engineering
organization. This is a highly visible role that requires both
business acumen when working with senior management, a strong
technical background for understanding systems and database
engineering practices, and technical depth for removing development
roadblocks. You will interact with a broad cross section of the
Amazon organization as you trace through complex interconnected
systems to improve the overall operational stance of the
organization and root out any issues uncovered along the way. 10012

planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software
experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related
field - Knowledge of infrastructure automation delivered through
the software development lifecycle in an API-enabled environment,
including agile development, software architecture/patterns, and
modern cloud services - Knowledge of the tools of the trade,
including a variety of modern programming languages (Rust, Java,
C/C++), and a solid understanding of the Linux operating system -
Experience in planning, designing, developing and delivering
consumer software - Experience delivering large-scale
infrastructure products that support Tier-1 mission critical
services with a focus on privacy, security, availability, and
efficiency - 10 years of direct work with cloud hosting
technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) experience - 5 years of managing
managers experience - Experience directly working with cloud
hosting technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) - Experience in managing
managers - Experience with AWS platforms, services, and design

the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base
pay for this position ranges from $160,900/year in our lowest
geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic
market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market
location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills,
and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent
on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms
of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation
