GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR THE RIGHT PERSON! JOIN AN ESTABLISHED AGENCY TO SUPERVISE WELL EDUCATED AND EXPERIENCED STAFF AND INTRODUCE THE THERAPEUTIC MENTORING PROGRAM TO NORTHERN VIRGINIA. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A DYNAMIC MANAGER TO BE PART OF OUT TEAM!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists Clinical Director and Director with the design and development of the clinical aspects of program services
  • Manages Therapeutic Mentoring Program with oversight from Clinical Director
  • Directly supervises Home Based and Therapeutic Mentoring Workers
  • Meets every week with workers to provide clinical guidance, assess dynamics and needs of each case, determine the appropriateness of therapeutic strategies and assess progress of service delivery and planning
  • Provides licensure supervision and ongoing supervision
  • Provides training as warranted
  • Reviews service recipient files to ensure proper and complete documentation of action and services and compliance with all applicable licenses, policies and regulations
  • Reviews all clinical notes weekly
  • Reviews all reports to ensure compliance with all applicable timelines, policies and regulations
  • Conducts clinical assessments
  • Evaluates worker performance and takes appropriate employee disciplinary actions
  • Maintains excellent customer service
  • Assists Director and Clinical Director with identification and resolution of problems or gaps in service delivery
Minimum Qualifications

:

Education and Experience:
  • A master's degree in social work, psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university;
  • A current LPC or LCSW in Virginia with the ability to provide licensure supervision in the state of Virginia;
  • A minimum of three years of experience providing mental health treatment to troubled children and families;
  • A minimum of one year of supervisory experience
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of principles and techniques of youth and family counseling;
  • Though knowledge of principles and techniques of basic interviewing and assessment skills;
  • Working knowledge of human services system and relevant community resources;
  • Ability to conduct and facility meetings;
  • Ability to form effective supervisory relationships with subordinate staff;
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other social services providers, service purchases and service recipients;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; fluency in both written and spoken Spanish a plus.
