Come join a team that is dedicated to making an impact for the people and communities we serve.The Security Threat Group (STG) Coordinator provides supervision and coordination for the facility security threat group program. Responsibilities include identifying and monitoring offender groups and members who pose potential threats to staff, inmates, the facility, or the community. The coordinator directs team members and assists in gathering intelligence, maintaining documentation, and disseminating intelligence to appropriate partners or law enforcement agencies.

• Enforce zero-tolerance for STG activity within the facility, and assist in maintaining safety and security through sound correctional practices.
• Manage work assignments and direct staff in duties consistent with policy and procedure.
• Oversee the STG electronic database and ensure timely dissemination of intelligence information.
• Review daily roster of STG members and monitor activity of validated members and suspects.
• Conduct investigations of STG-related incidents or activities, gather information and evidence, interview witnesses, and share intelligence with authorized parties.Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Three years of experience in a criminal justice field required.
  • One year of corrections experience, including care and custody of inmates/offenders, required.
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Additional education in criminal justice or a related field may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis, up to one year.
  • No substitution for corrections experience.
  • Prior experience with investigative processes and interviewing techniques preferred.
  • Specific contracts may require completing training, maintaining certification, and the ability to carry firearms or chemical agents.
  • Experience with video/audio surveillance equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of correctional rules and regulations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or similar software preferred.
  • A valid driver's license required.
