Job Description:

The successful applicant will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing IT solutions to support our business operations. He/She will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify needs, develop requirements, and ensure the successful implementation of new systems.Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deploy, support and troubleshoot business applications, workflows, application servers, associated hardware, endpoints, and databases.
• Collaborate with vendors and system users to implement new systems and system features to meet business needs.
• Develop and execute application and application security upgrades and improvement projects.
• Use SQL and other programming languages to develop a variety of reports and analyse data.
• Write scripts to automate administrative tasks, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery operations.
• Implement best practices for systems scalability, supportability, security, ease of maintenance, and performance.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures, monitor systems health, gather system statistics, and troubleshoot reported errors and alarms.
• Prepare system documentation and train users on new systems and systems features.
• Performs other related duties as required from time to time.Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field of study from a recognised University.
  • Good knowledge of and experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), relational databases, and any contemporary programming language (C++, C#, etc.).
  • Experience working with IBM Power Systems (AS400), RPGLE and CLLE would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Previous work experience in a similar capacity would be an asset.
  • Good communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
